What we handle

Local advisors who know federal contractors

Northern Virginia has one of the highest concentrations of federal contractors, consultants and dual-income technology households in the country. That shows up in audits: S corporation owner pay, home office and vehicle use, contractor 1099 income, and rental properties are common issues.

Our headquarters is at 44790 Maynard Square, Suite 190, in Ashburn. We meet clients in person or online, take over contact with the IRS or Virginia Tax, and handle each response in writing.

Questions

Frequently asked

If your question isn't here, call (703) 880-8412 and you'll reach a person.

Do you represent clients at IRS offices in Northern Virginia?

Yes. We attend office and field audits for clients throughout Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William and Arlington, and handle correspondence audits from anywhere.

Will Virginia audit me after an IRS audit?

Possibly. Virginia receives federal audit information and generally requires you to report federal changes. We handle both so the positions stay consistent.

How do I appeal a Virginia tax assessment?

Virginia allows an administrative appeal to the Tax Commissioner, generally within 90 days of the assessment, as well as court options. We prepare the appeal with the supporting records.

Can you help if I'm a federal contractor being audited by DCAA and the IRS?

Yes. We work on both the tax return and the incurred cost side so the numbers reconcile and one audit doesn't create problems in the other.

How far back can the IRS go?

Generally three years from filing, six years for a substantial understatement of income, and without limit for fraud or unfiled returns.

Where is your office?
